Happy St. Patrick's Day

So today has been a mixture of emotion. We lost my grandpa, which we knew was coming. He has been in a coma for the last 2 days. I think that he just wanted to make it through St. Patrick's day with his family. He was a full blooded Irish man and wanted to be apart of the festivities, then he decided that he could move on. He will be truly missed, he was always a big part of our lives. We love you, Grandpa. The last few days I have gotten the opportunity to put together a book about my grandpa's life. I didn't realize how much I didn't know about him, it has been truly a blessing to be able to learn about my grandpa's life and to put it into words so everyone will be able to know him. He was such an amazing man and got to do so many things that most people would only dream of. I am so glad that I have this book to show my kids someday when they are older, so that they will know what a wonderful man their great grandpa was.
A picture of my grandpa when he was younger, he was always flexing.

Also, today is Merrial's and my 10th Anniversary. It has been an interesting day with everything else going on. So it kind of got pushed aside, we will have to celebrate another time when things calm down a little bit. But I do want him to know how much I love him and appreciate what a wonderful father he is to our children and to me. I hope that we get many, many more year together. Happy 10th Anniversary Merrial! I love you!
